Marblehead Harbor is one of the most beautiful natural harbors in the world. Located about 9 nautical miles north of Boston Harbor, it is an attractive destination as well as a stopping-off point for those going to or returning from Maine. The main harbor is almost completely full of permanent moorings and no anchoring is permitted anywhere in the harbor. The harbor is regulated by the Marblehead Harbormaster, and, by designation, transient mooring accommodations can be obtained from the dockmasters of the three major yacht clubs: Corinthian Yacht Club, Eastern Yacht Club and Boston Yacht Club. If you wish to rent dock space on the Marblehead side of town contact the Marblehead Harbormaster.
Location
Corinthian Yacht Club can be raised on VHF channel 9 upon approach. Due to the popularity of the harbor in the summer, one should make reservations by calling ahead to (781) 631-0005 and asking for the waterfront. The CYC is the large, gray building to port as one enters the harbor. It is located on Marblehead Neck, a peninsula that forms the eastern shore of the harbor.
guest Moorings
Guest moorings can be rented for a nightly fee. The fee includes launch service to and from the CYC. The CYC offers showers and a laundry facility to transient mooring guests. Additionally, a limited number of guest rooms are available to members, guests and visiting yachtsmen.
